Move vehicles out of danger
▪ If possible to do so without placing yourself or others in danger, photograph the vehicles
▪ Turn engines off. Gasoline could be leaking following an accident
▪ Turn on hazard lights
▪ Check to see that everyone is okay
▪ If anyone needs medical attention, that should be immediate priority
▪ Call 911 and when requesting police, describe the injuries and request ambulance if injuries are serious
▪ Administer first-aid if necessary and you are able to
▪ Write down contact information for witnesses who volunteer their account of what happened
▪ Exchange contact and insurance information with other driver
